The year is 2xxx A.D., earthborn basketball has become the sport of the universe. In the championship tournament of the Intergalactic League, physically superior aliens account for all of the star players, with no humans from Planet Earth.

Meanwhile, a mysterious old man, Yoshimune, who is anxious about the future of basketball on earth, takes upon himself to form the All-Star Earth team to take on the Intergalactic League. To find the best members for the team, scouts are dispatched to every corner of the earth.

Hideyoshi, our hero, is discovered living in the slums. Although Hideyoshi is a difficult kid, the 14 year old is selected as a member of the team, for his unrivaled speed and distinguished jumping ability. With the other All-Star earthlings chosen for the team, each of whom is quite a character, Hideyoshi is shooting for the Intergalactic League.
