The final creation of the late Osamu Tezuka, consists of parables from the Old Testament
This series is the last creation of the late Osamu Tezuka, Japan's most renowned animator. Best known outside of Japan for his series ASTROBOY and KIMBA THE WHITE LION, his command of animation was unequaled during his 43-year career.
A coproduction between NTV and RAI, Radiotelevisione Italiana, IN THE BEGINNING presents the parables from the Old Testament without dogmatic or moralistic intentions. Historical details are depicted in away that can be enjoyed by viewers of any religious conviction. And while the series has educational value, it is kept from being dry or academic by a lovable little fox that appears in each story and provides an element of fun.
