"What happens beyond this point is neither reasonable nor logical. Only those who are still interested should proceed." Directed by Hideo Nakata, another definitive "psychological battle movie" has come to the screen!
Introduction :
"THE INCITE MILL - 7 Day Death Game -" is the world renowned director Hideo Nakata's latest creation. Nakata set new standards for Japanese horror with the atmospheric "Ring" (98) and "Ring 2" (99). His self-remake and Hollywood debut film "The Ring Two" (05) was also a huge box office hit.
THE INCITE MILL was adapted from up-and-coming mystery author Honobu Yonezawa's novel of the same name, and will feature Tatsuya Fujiwara of "Battle Royale" (00), "DEATH NOTE" series (06) and "KAIJI" (09).
An experiment in human carnage commences behind closed doors...
Nakata's distinctive style of horror comes to the big screen once again!
Story :
Ten people respond to a preposterous job posting - a short term project promising to pay JPY 112,000 (roughly $1,200) an hour. "It sounds dodgy, but the money is hard to resist..." They gather at a complex called the "Ankikan" and are informed that all they have to do is to be observed 24 hours a day for seven days. Each is assigned to one of ten rooms without locks, with a different weapon in each room.
Once they are locked into the complex, the "rules" are explained.
◆ Each must return to one's room by 10:00 pm.
◆ The experiment will end at the end of seven days, or when there are only two survivors remaining.
If nothing happens in the seven days, each of the participants would go home with over 18 million yen.
It seems so simple, but on the second day, someone is shot to death...
Who is the murderer? Who has a gun?
As the participants spiral into paranoid suspicions, the ultimate survival game begins...
