ADAPTATION OF NTV'S FORMAT "MASQUERADE" BROADCAST IN ITALY

An adaptation of NTV's successful and popular entertainment show "Masquerade" (Japanese title: "Kaso Taisho") was broadcast in Italy for the first time on September 19th, 2008.
Italy's Canale 5 of the Mediaset Group is broadcasting their version of this program, retitled "Fantasia" and co-produced by Italian production company Europroduzione and broadcaster Mediaset, in their primetime slot for four weeks.
"Fantasia," hosted by two well-known Italian stars Barbara D'Urso and Luca Laurenti, invites 20 teams representing the 20 Italian regions. The first airing had 10 teams participating with two acts per team, the second will have the remaining 10 teams performing, the third with all 20 teams competing with a different performance from their previous ones and the final will have the top-scoring teams competing for a prize. The first airing of "Fantasia" posted a 17.4% overall share with a 32.01% share in the age group of 15-19.
