NIPPON TELEVISION NETWORK CORPORATION (hereafter referred to as "NTV"; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Representative Director and President Mr. Shintaro Kubo), has agreed with Hulu.com, an online premium video service that offers hit TV shows, movies and clips at Hulu.com and other online destination sites -- all for free, anytime in the U.S., to offer Japanese content in the U.S.

The volume of content to be offered on Hulu.com will be a total of 9 hours, 4 titles and 53 episodes of variety shows (List of shows is below). Starting today with Denpa Shonen and Gaki, NTV will launch a dedicated channel titled "Japanese Humor - OWARAI - "featuring various humorous Japanese variety programs. YOSHIMOTO's HITOSI MATUMOTO VISUALBUM and EP FILMS will be available on the channel in early 2009.

The closed captioned system of English subtitles is made available for each title. The programs are available on Hulu.com in the U.S. and it is not possible to see the service from other countries, including Japan.

In the U.S., viewing of TV programs on online video sites has been dramatically increasing in recent months. Through Hulu.com, we aim to introduce humorous Japanese variety shows to the international market. We intend to nurture our content to gain international popularity and to increase the fans of Japanese content.
