Remake of Queen of the Classroom to Broadcast in South Korea in June

NTV proudly announces the South Korean broadcast of the remake of the hit drama series Queen of the Classroom. Commercial broadcaster Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation ("MBC") will feature the drama series via terrestrial broadcast beginning in June 2013. The original 11 episodes of Queen of the Classroom were aired in Japan on Saturdays from July 2005 to September 2005. Eight years after the success of the original series in Japan, South Korea has put together top notch screenwriters, directors, and a famous actress for the main character of this remake. Through conflicts, struggles, and tense interactions between sixth graders and their teacher, MBC depicts a classroom microcosm of the power dynamics that permeate South Korean society. This is not your typical elementary school classroom drama! It is NTV's hope that this remarkable accomplishment marks the beginning of the increasing popularity of Japanese dramas in South Korea and the rest of Asia.
