The Pride of the Temp, Nippon TV's hugely popular drama that was originally broadcast in 2007, is coming back next month on the CS channel Nittele Plus Drama, Anime, Sports. What's more, the South Korean remake, titled The Queen of Office, will follow on the same channel after the Japanese original series ends! For drama fans, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to indulge in both the Japanese original and the South Korean remake--all in one stretch.

In the Japanese original The Pride of the Temp, permanent and temporary employees battle it out in the racy office comedy. The exchanges between Ryoko Shinohara, who portrayed the stunningly brilliant temporary employee, and Yo Oizumi, who played the permanent employee who discriminated against temporary employees, became the talk of the town and propelled the series to its stellar success.

The hit drama was remade in South Korea and titled The Queen of Office. Public broadcaster KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) aired 16 episodes beginning in April of last year. South Korea, known for its love comedy dramas, was swept off its feet with this story that portrays the realities of the workplace through comical scenes, much like the Japanese original.
