Last year, Nippon TV captured the annual 2014 viewer ratings Triple Crown title for the first time in three years in the All Day, Golden Time, and Prime Time categories, setting itself apart from the other broadcasters by a wide margin. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all our viewers who supported our programs.

We at Nippon TV have dedicated ourselves to creating programs that answer to the expectations and win the trust of our viewers and sponsors. We worked hard to make improvements to our programs across all genres, such as infotainment, news, entertainment, drama, and sports. As a result, we were able to win the support of even more viewers. This year, we will strive to produce programs that are entertaining and useful--shows that are worthwhile. We will also aspire to deliver content that is high-quality and appealing through our other businesses such as movies and events.

Last year, the Nippon TV group vastly expanded its businesses to other areas beyond its main business of broadcasting. We became players in other arenas by welcoming TATSUNOKO PRODUCTION, an animation production company, to our group as a subsidiary and acquiring Hulu, a fixed-rate subscription video on-demand company. In addition, TIPNESS, a fitness club operator, became part of the Nippon TV group starting this year. We will leverage the strength and credibility of the Nippon TV brand in these new businesses to deliver steady growth and expansion for the coming year.

With our content broadcasting business at the core, Nippon TV and our group of companies will work tirelessly as one to embark on new challenges and improvements so that we may contribute to the creation of an even more appealing Japanese culture.
