NIPPON TV HEADS TO MIPTV WITH THREE NEW TITLES
INCLUDING TWO NEW SCRIPTED FORMATS
AND ONE NEW UNSCRIPTED FORMAT

TOKYO, JAPAN - March 4, 2024 - Nippon TV, Japan's leading multiplatform entertainment powerhouse, announced today that the company will head to this year's MIPTV with new scripted formats Trespassers (90 min. x 1ep.), a thrilling new dramedy by the creators of the award-winning hit series Rebooting where three women break into a luxury apartment looking for the off-the-books cash their company's CEO is rumored to be hiding, only to encounter a series of unexpected events, and Alice in Wonderful Kitchen (60 min. x 10eps.), a compassionate drama mystery about an extraordinary cook that is on the spectrum with a story that seeks to bring healing to those who have struggles in life, followed by one unscripted format Stars on the Shelf (scalable format 60min.-120min. eps.), a cutting-edge business/observational reality format that taps into celebrities' creativity, showcasing their prowess to shine in the competitive business arena. The announcement was made today by Sayako Aoki, Head of Scripted Formats, and Tom Miyauchi, Head of Unscripted Formats, Global Business, Nippon TV.

Trespassers, an exciting new dramedy where one night, three women break into a luxury apartment looking for the off-the-books cash their company's CEO is rumored to be hiding. When they enter the room, no matter how hard they search, they cannot find anything suspicious. Instead, a series of unexpected events start to occur as they are not the only ones attempting to infiltrate the home that evening. When characters with different intentions accidentally wind up in one place, viewers can no longer predict what is going to happen. Written by the scriptwriter of the successful series Rebooting, this comedic story of unusual trespassers takes one turn after another until the surprising ending.

Next on the slate is Alice in Wonderful Kitchen, a new drama series about Alice, a cook who is on the autism spectrum. With her trademark phrase “Cooking is chemistry,” she makes astonishingly delicious yet truly comforting dishes for her customers. Alice's immediate circle consists of a gay single father with whom she lives, a close friend who is a reformed delinquent, and the recently joined mysterious young man who makes himself feel at home in her restaurant. There is however a past incident relating to Alice's family and a secret of her birth that will cause ripples in their world. This is a compassionate mystery that seeks to bring healing to those who have struggles in life.

Rounding out the slate is Stars on the Shelf, a cutting-edge business reality format that taps into celebrities' creativity, showcasing their prowess to shine in the competitive business arena. In each episode, four celebrities each develop a new product to compete against professionally made items in a trendy shop. Viewers will witness the celebrities from various fields unleash their creativity, keeping abreast of all the trends and market needs. Back in the studio, they monitor the sales performance of their creations, experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions as they observe customer reactions. Join them as they root for the very products they invented.
