Many tourists from both within and outside Hokkaido participated, enjoying a river ride in traditional dugout canoes.

S/ Kaizawa Taichi, Ainu craft artist: As Ainu culture continues to grow stronger, I want to spread it to every region across Hokkaido.

Prayers to the gods, known as “Kamuy-nomi,” were offered at the “Poro Cise,” a reconstructed traditional Ainu house.
