Emperor Naruhito interacts with musicians and researchers in UK
Japanese Emperor Naruhito visited the Royal College of Music of June 26 on his fifth day in the United Kingdom.
The academy, where King Charles III is a patron, is known for developing the talent of various renowned musicians.
Japanese students are studying there as well.
The emperor listened to their performance and asked them if they enjoy studying there.
He also looked at the musical instrument collection at the RCM.
Prior to his visit to the Royal College, Emperor Naruhito also visited the Francis Click Institute, a biomedical research center in London.
He met with researchers from Japan who work there, and received an explanation on the factors that can cause severe medical complications.
Researcher at Francis Click Institute / I explained that autoantibodies (which are antibodies that attack a person’s own cells) are more common in men over 65 years old. He asked us if he was safe because he is 64.
