Ferrari listed in online public auction at record-high starting bid price

A luxury sports car Ferrari has been listed in the government agencies’ online auction by the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau.

The Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau listed the Ferrari F12tdf for a minimum starting bid price of 71.3 million yen, the highest price ever set for property other than real estate.

Public Internet auctions sell property seized from delinquent taxpayers, and the proceeds from successful bids are used to pay the delinquent taxpayers' taxes.

Applications for participation in the auction are open until October 30, and bidding will take place next month.

The National Tax Agency says, ‘We are conducting the delinquent taxation in order to realize proper and fair taxation and collection. We hope that many people will participate’.
