North Korea says hypersonic missile launch was success

North Korean media reported that a test launch of a hypersonic intermediate to long-range ballistic missile was carried out on January 6, with the country’s leader Kim Jong Un looking on.

They said the missile flew about 1,500 kilometers, making the test launch a “success.”

Kim Jong Un said that the new missile is capable of effectively penetrating any defense and inflicting a serious blow on the opponent.

A girl who is believed to be his daughter, Kim Ju Ae, was also present at the test launch.

The South Korean Defense Ministry said that the range of the missile was exaggerated, stressing that it can intercept any missile from North Korea.
