Japanese tech company NTT Data joined the hotel industry with its first-of-a-kind capsule hotel. 

An infrared camera and microphone are installed above the pillow.  

Sensors under the sheets detect body movements. 

Guests can receive data on how much they snore, the number of abnormal heartbeats, and how long they stopped breathing.

The operator believes that many Japanese people do not get quality sleep. It aims to provide services to improve the quality.  

The move comes amid an enlarging sleep tech market. The market size is expected to reach 17.5 billion yen by 2026, or around 1.6 times the size of last year.
