PM Ishiba meets with SoftBank Group CEO to talk Japan-US relations
Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru met with and SoftBank Group Chairman & CEO Son Masayoshi on January 7 to exchange views.
Ishiba is believed to have sought advice from Son in preparation for his summit with President-elect Trump, who is set to take office on January 20.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Iwaya Takeshi and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Muto Yoji also attended the meeting.
Son said after the meeting that the two talked frankly, and that Ishiba asked him his thoughts on the Japan-U.S. relationship, the economy, and the new administration.
