Foreign exchange students to Japan receive lecture on traffic rule

Student / I vow to abide by the traffic rules when using electric mobility (scooter.)

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department held a lecture on Japan’s traffic rules to foreign exchange students at this school in Tokyo on July 9.

The move comes amid an increasing number of accidents involving electric scooters.

Students who come from countries in Southeast Asia and other regions learned about traffic rules regarding mopeds and electric scooters in Japan.

85 accidents involving electric scooters have been reported in the country’s capital so far this year.

Police called on the students to be aware of the importance of legal compliance in the use of the transportation method.
