Large Typhoon approaching Okinawa and Amami region

Large Typhoon Pulasan, also known as Typhoon No. 14 in Japan, is moving northward and is expected to approach the Okinawa and Amami regions by Sept 18, requiring caution.

Currently, the typhoon is located east of the Philippines, moving northwest at a speed of 45 km/h. It is expected to continue moving westward and will approach Okinawa and Amami at a relatively fast pace on September 18.

Due to the typhoon’s approach, intermittent rain is expected in Okinawa and Amami on September 18, with heavy rain in some areas.

The winds will also be very strong, with maximum wind speeds of up to 30 meters per second predicted in both Okinawa and Amami.
