Uber Japan launches service for teens and guardians
Uber Japan launched a service for teens and guardians on December 11.
The service is targeted at teenagers between age 13 and 17 and their guardians.
Both children and parents can select a spot to hail a taxi. Only top-rated drivers will be matched for safety reasons.
The app will automatically record the voice of the driver and passengers in the car.
The operator said it hopes the service will help families where both parents are working and cannot pick up or drop off their children.
The service will be available in 11 prefectures including Tokyo.
