Nippon Steel Responds to President Biden's "Block Acquisition" Stance
Nippon Steel issued a statement in response to U.S. President Biden’s block acquisition stance on December 11, saying that the company “believes in the justice, fairness, and legal system of the United States.”
It also said that it will consider and implement all possible measures to reach a fair conclusion.
Additionally, Nippon Steel announced that upon completion of the acquisition, it will provide a special bonus of 5,000 dollars to each U.S. Steel employee who is not part of the labor union.
The company has also proposed offering this bonus to union members, despite the union’s opposition to the acquisition.
