Ramen Festival aims to revitalize suburban areas

The rain in Tokyo did not discourage ramen fans from trying out the noodle dish from across Japan.

It was the 14th time the annual Ramen Festival took place.

Organizers hope to revitalize suburban areas with the Japanese noodle dish.

Visitors were able to choose from 36 ramens this year.

Visitor / You can really taste the garlic. The spring onion makes it super delicious too.

Some of them had to hold an umbrella while they ate.

Visitor / I love ramen. It’s cold, but the ramen is warm so it’s just perfect.

Ramen restaurants that joined the event included ones from Tokyo, Hokkaido, Kyoto and other prefectures.
