Princess Aiko takes in imperial court music concert
Princess Aiko took in a concert featuring Japan's ancient court music and dance.
The gagaku performance by the imperial household's music department took place on April 14 at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.
This was the fourth time for Aiko to watch a gagaku concert and the first time for her to do so alone.
Officials said the only child of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako wore glasses to watch the dance moves in detail.
Gagaku performance by the imperial household's music department has been registered as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage.
