China's bans on Japanese Seafood likely to resolve.
Prime Minister Kishida will hold a phone consultation on the afternoon of Sept.20, with IAEA Director General Grossi. They are expected to confirm the expansion of monitoring of seawater and other factors regarding the release of treated water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant to the sea, with participation from third countries, including China.
According to multiple government officials from Japan and China, both governments are making final adjustments toward the resumption of imports of Japanese seafood from China in light of this expansion.
