Shinkansen -Bullet Trains to be partly suspended on Friday and Saturday as " Typhoon Ampil "approach.
Central Japan Railway, known as "JR Tokai" in Japanese, announced on evening of August 14 that it will suspend some parts of the Tokaido Shinkansen -bullet train operations on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th, as " Typhoon Ampil" approaches Japan. On Friday, the bullet trains will not operate between Tokyo-Nagoya stations, and trains will be reduced between Nagoya and Shin-Osaka stations with all seats being unreserved seats. For all this, Central Japan Railway annouced that it will have more Nozomi bullet trains operating on Thursday 15th between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka, to carry more passengers beforehand. They advise passengers to change travel plans if possible and also notifies that it will be possible to change trains within one year term,without any cancelation fee.
