A helicopter that belongs to the U.S. Naval Air Facility Atsugi made an emergency landing on the beach in Chigasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture on October 10 .

The anti-submarine and surface warfare helicopter, the MH-60R Seahawk, made the landing to prevent accidents, according to the base.

Three passengers were on board but were not injured.

Officials are further investigating the cause of the landing and the situation.

A helicopter belonging to the U.S. Naval Air Facility Atsugi made an emergency landing in Kanagawa Prefecture in August of this year as well.
