The more-than-one-meter-long bear was spotted around 3PM local time on July 2 near the famous tourist destination Ryuzu Falls.

Cafe owner Murone Yasushi / I saw a bear on June 28 for the first time this year. Then I saw one on July 1 and today (July 2).

An increasing number of bears have been spotted in Nikko. A man was injured after he was attacked by a bear on July 1.

Tochigi Prefecture has created posters in foreign languages to warn visitors about the creature.
