Japan Meteorological Agency issued an Emergency Warning for strong winds and  hig waves for Kagoshima Prefecture. 

Typhoon Shanshan is moving at a slower speed, causing wide parts of the country to experience longer periods of rain and storms that may cause houses to collapse.

The agency also urges people to complete evacuation before the storm begins to hit as it is dangerous to move around in a storm.
