Many things will happen, and we don't know what obstacles may come up. But the five of us have decided to join forces and enjoy the adventures and challenges ahead.

Members of K-pop group NewJeans announced on November 28 that that they are splitting from their management agency Ador, a subsidiary of Hybe, as of midnight.

Earlier in November, the five-member female group sent Ador a written request for the reinstatement of Min Hee-jin as the company's CEO.

They warned that they will cancel their exclusive contract with Ador if their demand is not met.

Min produced NewJeans.

Earlier this year, Hybe filed a complaint with the police, accusing Min of breach of trust over alleged plans to leave Ador and take members of NewJeans along.

Min later stepped down from the CEO post and left the company in November.

Ador issued a statement saying its contract with NewJeans is still intact as unilaterally claiming that trust has been broken cannot be construed as a reason for calling off the contract.

If the contract is terminated, the group might not be able to continue using "NewJeans" as its name.

Members said they will try to maintain their right to use the group name.
