A Disney-themed bullet train began operating on the Tokaido shinkansen line connecting Tokyo and Osaka on February 21.

Dubbed the Wonderful Dreams Shinkansen, the 16-car train is decorated with characters like Rapunzel from the film "Tangled," Elsa and Anna of "Frozen" and Peter Pan.

Railway and Disney fans gathered at Nagoya Station in central Japan early in the morning to catch a glimpse of the train's first run.

Central Japan Railway said about 80 percent of the reserved seats on the first Disney train was booked.

JR Central's first train adorning Disney characters is scheduled to operate until mid-September.
