Crown Prince Fumihito and Crown Princess Kiko arrived in the capital city of Ankara on December 3 for their 6-day official visit to Turkey.

The Crown Prince and Crown Princess landed at around 5:00PM local time after an approximately 13-hour flight and were greeted by Turkish officials with smiles.

The pair were invited by the Turkish Government for the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan.

They are slated to pay a courtesy visit to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on December 4, followed by a dinner hosted by the President that evening.

Crown Prince Fumihito and Crown Princess Kiko are scheduled to return to Japan on December 8.
