Record snow in South Korea: Man skiing to work goes viral
A rare scene was captured in South Korea, which had record snowfall on the morning of November 28 before the onset of winter.
A person was spotted skiing along the side of a quiet road with little traffic.
The video was shot in Yongin, south of Seoul.
The skier was a former member of the South Korean national ski team, who currently works as a high school P.E. teacher.
Kim Jeong-min, former Olympic Skier: When I tried to go to work by bus, there was so much snow that I thought it would be faster to commute by skiing. It took about an hour and a half.
South Korean media reported that as of 8 a.m. on the 28th, the snow had accumulated to a height of 28.6 centimeters in Seoul. It was a historic snowfall record for November since record-keeping began in 1907.
The heaviest snowfall before the onset of winter caused problems in various parts of the country, including a traffic accident involving more than 50 vehicles.
