Prince Hisahito informs emperor about start of college life
Prince Hisahito visited Emperor Naruhito at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on April 6 to inform him that he has begun life as a college student.
The emperor's daughter Princess Aiko also attended the meeting.
The prince also paid a call on Emperor Emeritus Akihito and Empress Emerita Michiko at their residence.
Hisahito also informed his grandparents that he graduated from high school.
He could not tell them about his graduation as Michiko was in mourning until April 3 because her elder brother Shoda Iwao passed away in early March.
On April 5, Hisahito attended the entrance ceremony for freshmen at the University of Tsukuba.
The 18-year-old prince is set to undergo orientation at his university starting April 7.
