Narita Airport and its home of Chiba Prefecture are encouraging travelers to use a taxi app to increase tourism within the prefecture.

Narita Airport acts as a gateway to Japan and is one of Tokyo’s two international airports.

Narita International Airport Corporation estimated a record of over 20 million foreign tourists traveling to Japan via Narita last year.

Chiba Prefecture and other organizers are encouraging the influx of travelers coming in through Narita Airport to stop by tourist spots on the Boso Peninsula via a taxi app.

Officials expect a smooth journey and reduced troubles by informing travelers of the taxi fare beforehand through the app.

Taxis at Narita Airport, especially larger vehicles that can accommodate large amounts of luggage, have increased in accordance with the traveler count.
