Cyberattack on Japan Airlines
According to Japan Airlines, a cyber-attack on its internal and external network equipment began at around 7:30AM on December 26.
The attack has caused a malfunction in their system that communicates with external systems, leading to issues with their app and baggage check-in machines across Japan.
It has also caused delays to aircraft operated by Japan Airlines on both domestic and international flights.
JAL is considering how to identify and respond to the attacker and has commented that it deeply regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers.
