135,000 LINE app users affected by photo album glitch
The free communication application LINE had a glitch that allowed other people to see saved photos, affecting about 135,000 users worldwide.
According to LINE Yahoo, the LINE app compresses images on the album after 35 days have passed since they were posted.
In the process of saving the compressed images, some users' data got mixed up due to program errors.
The number of users whose album images were accessible by other people is estimated to be about 135,000, including about 70,000 in Japan.
LINE Yahoo said it will take measures to prevent recurrence based on the results of investigations.
