Shibuya hides Hachiko dog statue ahead of Halloween

Workers covered up the iconic Hachiko dog statue in Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward on October 30 ahead of Halloween.

The popular tourist spot will be blocked off until November 1.

The ward has also put up a sign that reads “no events for Halloween on Shibuya streets”, “no drinking”, and “no smoking.”

Starting this month, Shibuya Ward became the first in Tokyo to ban public drinking from 6PM to 5AM.
