A T-rex costume race was held at the 76th Tokamachi Snow Festival in Niigata Prefecture central Japan.

The friendly competition held on February 16 required contestants to run 20 meters outdoors in a T-rex costume.

Participants ran on the snow-covered ground, causing some to fall over.

S/ Participant/ It’s my first time, but I wanted to win so I practiced. I’m super happy. I thought big steps would make me fall, so I ran with smaller steps.

The unique winter race was filled with smiles from participants and audiences alike.
