Princess Kako interacts with participants of Ship for World Youth
Princess Kako interacted with participants of the Ship for World Youth, which brings together young leaders from around the world for a monthlong trip on a ship with stops in various countries.
The program is one of Japan's international exchange projects organized by the Cabinet Office.
Kako met with 28 participants from 13 countries including Australia and Brazil at the Akasaka Estate in Tokyo.
She asked about their activities and their thoughts about the program and wished them success in their endeavors.
In the past as crown prince and crown princess at the time, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako also met with Ship for World Youth participants.
This is the third such occasion for their niece Kako, the second daughter of Crown Prince Fumihito and Crown Princess Kiko.
