Crown Princess Kiko greets Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako on her birthday
Dressed in a light blue dress and hat, Crown Princess Kiko smiled and bowed to the press from her car as she entered the Hanzomon Gate of the Imperial Palace at around 11:00 a.m. on September 11.
Her visit on her 58th birthday was to greet Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako.
She was received and celebrated by the Emperor and Empress at the palace.
Prior to this, their eldest daughter, Princess Aiko, visited the Akasaka Imperial Residence at around 10:00 a.m. to extend her congratulatory greetings to Princess Kiko.
Dressed in a cream-colored dress and hat, she smiled and waved at the press from her car.
Princess Kiko then visited the Sento Palace, the residence of her parents-in-law, Emperor Emeritus Akihito and Empress Emerita Michiko and gave birthday greetings to the couple.
