N. Korea blows up inter-Korean roads
North Korea blew up the northern parts of intern-Korean roads on October 15, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The explosion comes following North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's remarks in January describing South Korea as "the most hostile nation."
North Korea had removed streetlights and done other works on the road since.
The country announced on October 9 that it would begin construction to block off and fortify the road.
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said its military is bolstering its readiness and surveillance.
