Japanese child stabbed in Shenzhen, China

The Japanese Consulate General in Guangzhou announced that a Japanese boy in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, southern China, was stabbed by an unknown assailant on the morning of September 19.

 

According to the Japanese school where he is studying, the victim was a 5th-grade boy who was attacked while walking to school. He has been transported to hospital and is currently receiving treatment.

The attacker was a man, and he has already been taken into custody.

 

In June, a Japanese mother and her three children were stabbed by a Chinese man in Suzhou.

Security measures were strengthened along school routes and other measures were taken.
