Woven City, a demonstration city for advanced technology being developed by Toyota Motor, was opened to the press on February 22.

The city will develop future vehicles using automated driving technology and AI, as well as conduct joint logistics and product demonstrations with companies.

Facilities shown during its Phase 1 completion ceremony included a facility where developers from various companies and residents (called Weavers) can interact.

Also shown was a café serving hydrogen-roasted coffee, and an underground logistics corridor to test automated goods transport regardless of weather conditions.

Woven City will begin formal demonstrations in autumn 2025.
