Princess Kako, niece of Emperor Naruhito, attended a luncheon at the Greek Ambassador’s residence in Tokyo on May 16 ahead of her visit to Greece.

The princess will embark an official visit to Greece from May 25 to June 1 to commemorate 125 years of diplomatic relations between Greece and Japan.

Prime Ministers Mitsotakis and Kishida jointly declared 2024 as “Greece-Japan Year of Culture and Tourism.”

Princess Kako is reportedly preparing for her diplomatic visit by meeting with experts familiar with Greek culture.

Her official foreign visit to Greece will mark her third official trip abroad since her visit to Peru last November.
