Bear attacks mini truck in Hokkaido
A dashcam on a car that was driving in Hokkaido caught a shocking scene.
A brown bear came running to attack the mini truck.
The bear attacks the vehicle once... and twice.
The attack from the bear broke the wiper and cracked the windshield.
The drivers sped off immediately...
S/ Driver / Did you see that? It's coming after us! Man!
However, the drivers were chased after by the bear for a while.
An analysis of the dashcam footage showed what seems to be a bear cub running in the forest before the ambush took place.
An expert told Nippon TV that the bear, which might have been the mother of the cub, attacked the car to protect her child.
Mother bears tend to be more defensive especially after the cubs emerge from dens.
The drivers did not report of injuries following the chase.
