Nissan CEO Uchida to resign
Nissan decided at a board meeting on March 11 that CEO Uchida Makoto will step down from his position.
According to sources, it was decided that Uchida will step down at the end of March to take responsibility for the company's deteriorating performance.
Ivan Espinosa, who has been in charge of product planning, will replace Uchida.
Some within Nissan have questioned Uchida’s responsibility for the scrapped merger deal with Honda.
