Fire in popular tourist spot in Osaka injures one
Black smoke filled up Osaka’s popular tourist destination Tsutenkaku on January 21.
A fire broke out at a game arcade near Tsutenkaku Tower.
Firefighters received a phone call from a local resident reporting the fire around 5 PM on Tuesday.
The fire broke out in a five-story high building and destroyed approximately 500 square meters.
The video shows the blaze coming out of the arcade.
A bursting sound was heard in another video.
Smoke filled the shopping street and blocked the view.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire seven hours after it broke out.
A male employee in his 30s sustained minor injuries. Police suspect that motorcycles that were in the store at the time could have caused the fire.
