Fast food chain serves ostrich meat bowl
Japanese fast food chain Yoshinoya announced on August 28 that it will start serving ostrich meat bowls.
The “Ostrich Donburi” will have thin slices of roasted ostrich meat on rice.
The option will be available in limited quantities in some outlets in Japan for a limited time.
The company said in a news conference that it decided to provide ostrich as a form of risk diversification, so it does not have to solely rely on beef.
Yoshinoya plans to offer the exotic meat as the “fourth meat” option after beef, pork and chicken.
