Public broadcaster NHK allows talents from former Johnny's agency
Japan’s public broadcaster announced its decision to resume appearances of talents formerly affiliated with Johnny & Associates, the male talent agency accused of sexual abuse.
NHK President Inaba Nobuo told a press conference on October 16 that the broadcaster will allow talents from the former Johnny's to appear at the discretion of production sites effective immediately.
He said steady progress has been confirmed in compensating victims and preventing the recurrence of the sexual harassment problem.
NHK has suspended such appearance requests since last September.
