Sapporo Snow Festival comes to a close

The 75th Sapporo Snow Festival had its final day on February 11 and was bustling with locals and tourists looking to catch a final glimpse of the massive snow sculptures.

Attendee from Hyogo Prefecture: It's amazing. I can’t believe they can make something like this out of snow.

Attendee from Aichi Prefecture: It's powerful and amazing. The amount of snow used is impressive.

According to the organizing committee, higher-than-normal temperatures and favorable weather during the period this year helped to increase the number of visitors.

The sculptures at the Odori Park venue were lit up at night until 10PM so that as many visitors as possible could enjoy them.
