Nihon Hidankyo delegates wrap up visit to Norway for Nobel Peace Prize

The representatives of Nihon Hidankyo made the remarks on December 12 as they wrapped up their visit to Norway to attend the Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony.
They expressed hope for younger generations to work hard toward achieving the abolition of nuclear weapons.
Nihon Hidankyo is seeking a meeting with Japan's Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru.
Group representatives want to ask the Japanese government to join the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
They also hope that Japan, as the only country to have suffered atomic bombings in war, will stand at the forefront of international public opinion toward the abolition of nuclear arms.
Delegates arrived at Haneda Airport in Tokyo on December 13.
