Yokohama hot spring celebrates winter solstice with yuzu bath
A Yokohama onsen hot spring, roughly 1 hour south of Tokyo Station by train, celebrated the winter solstice on December 21 with a yuzu citrus bath for customers.
Taking yuzu baths on the winter solstice is a Japanese tradition that aims to fight off the winter cold.
According to the bathhouse, the yuzu bath used citrus provided by customers.
Roughly 1.5 tons or around 30,000 yuzus were collected and used this year.
